True Vine Baptist Church 30st Anniversary
We at True Vine Baptist Church would like to invite you to our 31st Anniversary meeting this Memorial Day weekend. Praise the Lord after 31 years in Portland we’re very thankful that the Lord is still at work in Portland, a spiritually dark and needy city. This is the perfect place for the moving and working of the Holy Ghost of God. “But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:” Rom 5:20b, “But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Matthew 9:13
We invite you to be a part of our thanksgiving to God for keeping us in the fight, “because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1John 4:4. This is a time for rest & relaxation, feeding on the word of God, singing, food & fellowship, a time of refreshing. Hope you can join us.
The times are as follows:
Friday 24 May – 5:30 PM sandwiches and finger food, services 7:00.
Saturday 25 May – services 1:00-5:00 PM, dinner 5:30, evening service 7:00.
Sunday 26 May – Sunday School 10:00, Sunday service 11:00
There are a multitude of hotels in the Portland area, I recommend booking online and ahead of time to get the best rates. The Courtyard by Marriott is appr $169/ night 503-652-2900 fairly close and a nice room, Motel 6 Gresham City Center appr $99/ night 503-666-9545 fairly close, adequate room.
Be prepared to preach a 30 minute message. We hope and pray that God richly blesses the fellowship and singing, empowers the preaching, and that all would draw us closer to God and one another. May we leave the meeting refreshed, renewed, encouraged, and better able to serve and honor our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
Please let me know if you are coming and if anyone from your church is coming so we can plan food quantities accordingly. A nursery will be provided.
