Are You Saved?

Do you know what it is to be saved? Have you ever recognized your lost condition and repented? Salvation is a free gift, made available through the blood of Jesus Christ.

1. Realize and admit that you are a sinner.

Everyone has sinned, sins, or will sin in their life.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23)
“There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10)

2. Realize that a price must be paid for your sin.

Your sin separates you from God and damns you to an eternity in hell.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passes upon all men, for that all have sinned…” (Romans 5:12)

“For the wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God); but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Rev. 20:14-15)

3. Realize that Jesus paid the price for sin.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

4. Repent of your sins and ask Jesus to save you.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

“I tell you, Nay; but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3)

Are you willing to accept Jesus as your saviour today? Then please ask Him to save you in a prayer like this: Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I deserve to go to hell and pay for my sins. I know you died for me on the cross and rose from the dead so I don’t have to. I’m sorry for my sins, willingly turn from them, and now trust the Lord Jesus Christ to save me, in Jesus name, Amen. If you prayed the prayer above and meant it, you are saved. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
